The Coordinating Center Elects New Board Officers

The Coordinating Center is pleased to announce it’s newly elected President and Vice President of the Board of Directors.

Elizabeth Weglein, who has served on The Coordinating Center’s Board of Directors since 2011,  is the new President. Ms. Weglein is the CEO of the Elizabeth Cooney Care Network, which provides comprehensive home care services throughout Maryland since 1957. She represents the third generation in her family owned and operated home care business.

Ms. Weglein is the President of the United Seniors of Maryland, which is an umbrella senior advocacy organization representing over three million seniors. She is the Maryland National Capital Home Care Association’s Government Affair’s Chair, current Board of Director and Past Regional President. Ms. Weglein is appointed as the Governor’s Chair of the Maryland Caregivers Support Coordinating Council overseeing all caregiving issues in the state. She also is involved in various other boards and organizations through the state and nationally.

Thomas H. Hall, who has served on The Coordinating Center’s Board of Directors since 2011,  is the new Vice President. Mr. Hall is President of Saltgrass LLC and CEO of Heywood Oil & Gas LLC. He has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of marketing, development, and government relations for Tierco Group, Premier Parks Inc. and Six Flags Inc.

An active community member, he has served as a board member of the Maryland Tourism Development Board, the Governor’s Economic Advisory Council, the Marine Management Association and as an advisor at the Hotel, Culinary Arts and Tourism Institute, a school at Anne Arundel Community College, and a three-year term as President of the Rugby Hall Community Association.
