The Coordinating Center’s new Disability Advocacy Award was established to recognize how vital advocacy efforts are to improving the quality of life of individuals living with disabilities in our community. The purpose of The Center’s new Disability Advocacy Award is to recognize individuals, groups and/or organizations in Maryland for outstanding systems advocacy efforts consistent with The Center’s mission and person-centered philosophy.  Dedicated to the full inclusion of individuals living with disabilities, Disability Rights Maryland has worked collaboratively with The Center for over 35 years, supporting Marylanders with special health care needs and disabilities and improving their access to appropriate health care, housing, education and social services.
